In 15 years there will be no Internet sites?

Will the Internet retain its position in 15 years? What will be its functions? How will sites change? To answer this question, let us first look at the very recent past – 12 years ago, the World Wide Web audience was about 250 million people. Sites were not very colorful collections of texts. The number of illustrations was limited by the bandwidth of the channel and the amount of traffic. Information processing was carried out on sufficiently low-power systems by today’s standards, with a small amount of operational and permanent memory. Servers also left much to be desired … Technical limitations, of course, prevented the full disclosure of the creative potential of web developers. Sometimes they so wanted to screw the chip in a bit more fun and more fun, in order to fully realize their Napoleonic plans to realize their own vision of site development …

Of course, the scale was not the one to start such projects. As time went on, the population of connected people grew 1000 times faster than the population of our beloved planet. The look of the Web has changed: not only is the Internet now a full-fledged media provider, it is also a means of advanced communication, interactive entertainment, self-expression and (finally) earning! And that’s not all! Such a dominance was facilitated by the development of technologies that made the Internet accessible: from desktop PCs to ultra-modern gadgets (iPad, GalaxyTAB, etc.), for the development of which, by and large, is the future. The tremendous power of graphic processors now allows parallelizing computations, which allows solving scientific problems of high complexity by numerical methods to the entire Internet community. Technologies of fundamentally new virtual space manipulators are already being considered by offices ready to release them! Everything, everything, everything is developing rapidly! How can things be in the future? Let’s try to make a small forecast regarding the appearance of a regular site and the role of the Network in 5, 10 and 15 years. 5 years This is a transition period when flash-technologies will be obsolete. They are very bulky, not always convenient to use and too clumsy and difficult for third-party management. The amount of excess text on sites is constantly decreasing, more attention is paid to the visual range, headings are enlarged, non-standard color combinations are used that were not popular before. Static design in a site leaves. Let us give an example: it is planned to implement such a site so that its color scheme matches the illumination outside the window, creates a positive atmosphere that is conducive to visit. To accomplish the task, you need to have the user’s coordinates in order to adapt to the conditions (it would be nice if the weather forecast coincided). All this is not so bad, the main problem is the complexity of implementing such a number of combinations in a flash application (different colors, different lighting, building unique complex algorithms). How to solve this? All the work can be done by the user’s computer through a 3d application using a set of standard instructions. It’s no secret that modern graphics cards do not allow this! According to the latest information, such applications are being developed like WebGl, and they will become a bridge to the future appearance of the Internet. For 10 years, 3d sites will be the norm, old formats will begin to be redone for the new, which will make the Internet design community, where developers of three-dimensional programs will connect. During this time, mobile device technologies will advance significantly – they will easily operate with larger data arrays than current stationary phones and perform the functions of full-fledged media centers and metacommunicators. Life without electronics in big cities will be impossible! Even in stores, the assortment will be loaded into the meta-communicator, and the availability of the necessary goods will be displayed as a message. Sites will perform a completely different function – the function of a tool for the interactive selection of services and goods in any network coverage area. Advertising will begin to develop in a new unpredictable direction and look for extreme (in the sense of the best) ways.

15 years Communication technology with a computer will mature to such a stage as to move away from the usual means of tactile (that is, when touching) control of machines. Passes with hands (as well as heads, ears, noses and legs …) will steer the process of work, this will bring the work of the Internet into a truly three-dimensional architecture. The user will be in this space, habitually controlling it with his hands, and not observe the process from the side, leading his finger. The ability to be a full-fledged participant in completing a task, to receive a perceived feedback is millions of new ways of influencing the worldview. Sites will become almost real estate, as apartments are now, they will be just as expensive and will become a business in and of themselves. This is a new virtual world that the great science fiction writers of the 20th century dreamed about, and it is just around the corner …
